Each Story stick goes through three distinct processes of creation: weaving, beading, and feathering. These three steps are metaphors for the deeper meaning behind every Story Stick. Weaving represents the intricate fabric of experience contained within each person’s individual story. The beads are symbols of the many “beads” of wisdom to be discovered within each personal tale. The finishing touch of the feathers expresses the hope that these voices will be able to take flight and reach even the farthest corners of the world with their powerful message.
